Gutsy Animations and its founder and principal shareholder Marika Makaroff are welcoming Gutsy's Chairman of the Board Harri Roto into a more hands-on role in the company as CEO, continuing his invaluable work guiding the strategic business development of the company. With this appointment Gutsy Animations' founder Marika Makaroff will continue as Creative Director of the company and Executive Producer of its Emmy® Award nominated flagship project “Moominvalley”, with a strong focus on the production, content and development sides of the business. Makaroff will steer the slate of the company which includes award winning animated projects as well as live action scripted series.
Harri Roto is an innovative business leader and sustainability expert with experience in new business and strategy creation, sales & sales management, investment projects, marketing, successful closures of venture capital and asset management financing rounds, launch and management of new business and products in China and Europe. Since his appointment to the Gutsy Animations board earlier this year Harri has become an integral part of the growth of the studio.
